Medellin is the 2^nd largest city in Colombia. It is a beautiful city with a beautiful weather! No wonder it is nicknamed the “The City of Eternal Spring”. It has a temperate climate for most part of the year.

 

Colombia generally is an evolving nation. In the past, it used to be known for its notoriousness such as kidnapping, drug cartels and corruption but have evolved into one of the best country in Latin America. It comprises of high rise buildings, with beautiful streets and road networks and is a beautiful place for tourism, education, work and even migration.

Medellin has one of the best tourist attractions in Columbia. It has very nice hotels and restaurants; it also has numerous parks and plazas where you can have a really nice time. You can enjoy some SALSA, have a taste of one of the best coffee there is and also discover Colombian food.

You can party with the locals, relax at the beach, take a stroll on the beautiful streets or jump on the metro to nearby cities and enjoy the view of the environment and the sights of other small towns and for a more daring adventure you could hop on a cable car and have a few of the entire city.

It also hosts one of the best carnivals that last for four days just like Rio and I dare say that it can match up to the Rio Festival. Medellin is the home of fruits and veggies! If you are a vegetarian; you would love it here. The fruits are so massive and very cheap. Medellin also has wildlife parks and other very nice national parks.

You would get amazing budget friendly hotels in Medellin which ranges between N15,000 and N30,000.

Budget friendly destinations! - Varna, Bulgaria

Varna is a port city and seaside resort in the Black sea area of Bulgaria. It is known for its Gold. It is home to very beautiful jewelries and antiques. It is actually the 3^rd largest city in Bulgaria with very cheap hotels, cheap restaurants that offers variety of food, drinks (cocktails, canapés and spirits) and also nice tourist centres.

It also provides cheap items and souvenirs and also very cozy relaxation sites.

one beautiful place to visit in Varna is the SEA GARDEN. It is a massive park. It is a national monument of landscaped architecture. It is the best place for families to relax and have fun. 

It has the dophinarium and zoo for kids and the casino for grown-ups. It also has beautiful lush gardens and a great path to walk through.

Other tourist places includes; The Barite Complex, Euxinogard Palace, The Golden Sand beach, Amusement Park, University Botanical Garden and lots more.

You could get hotel accommodation for as low as €35 i.e. N14,700 @ (€1 = N420). These hotels aren’t crappy hotels, they are actually 3 & 4-star hotels.

Most of these hotels comes with breakfast and can also arrange your pick-up and drop-off with very little additional charges.

Meals are also relatively cheap, you could get a very nice meal for as low as half a euro - €2. Movement around town isn't expensive either. it’s a vacation, so I suggest walk more, take pictures and use the buses not cabs, that way you also save money and have fun.

N.B: You can see that travelling is really not as expensive as being perceived or made to believe.
