Seychelles is a country that is made up of 115
islands in the Indian Ocean. It is off East Africa and it also has numerous
beaches, coral reefs, nature reserves, as well as rare animals such as giant
Aldabra tortoises. Its capital city is Victoria which is home to the mountain
rainforests of Morne Seychellois National Park and beaches, including Beau
Vallon and Anse Takamaka.
Picturing a country with 115 Islands and all I
can think of is Magnificent Nature in all ramifications. Obviously Seychelles
is home to beautiful resorts with clear blue water, lakes, waterfalls, parks
and gardens, beaches, mountains, green-fields, sea animals, sea food, mountain
tops, pebbles, shells, happy people, and on and on….
The 3 most popular islands in Seychelles are: -
The Mahe Island – which is the largest island in Seychelles
La Digue Island – which is another inner Island popular with
tourists.
When visiting Seychelles for Holiday, most tourists usually
go to these popular islands. In-fact there are lots of travel packages online
which includes just these three islands. So many might have heard a lot about
these islands and are planning a trip someday, Some others might have visited
these places severally without unraveling other options and might not be keen to visit anymore because they only visit the
regular routes.
Why not consider some other unusual island destinations in
the same Seychelles and experience an unusual thrilling adventure. These 3
Islands - Desroches, Silhouette and North Islands are other islands that would
wow you in Seychelles.
Desroches
Island
The Desroches Island is a very beautiful island suitable for
families and perfect for company retreats. It consists of about 17
beach suites. It is an outer Island and has luxurious beach villas. It is
different from the “Populars” and the experience is amazing. The kids can enjoy
feeding the tortoise, you could go for a walk on the beach, you could take that
screen-saver shot at the lush green-fields surrounded by lakes and waterfalls.
The ladies can enjoy spa treatment at the villas while the guys can go for the water sports or fishing excursion such as - bottom fishing
or deep sea fishing for the formidable marlin, sailfish or record breaking
wahoos and tuna. You will also love the cuisines and cocktails.
Silhouette
Island
Imagine being on an island that has just 200 people. It is a
quiet get-away destination. It feels like hiding away from the chaos of the
cities and just chillaxing in a cozy and sweet environs. Admiring and
experiencing the beauty of God’s given nature. It is notable for its slant palm
fronts and coconut trees.
If you want some serious quietness and calmness then
Silhouette is the place to be. The beaches are obviously not as busy as the
ones in the Mahé or Praslin Islands. The beaches have beautiful slanted palm
fronts and you can have as much coconut water/drink as you want. Ever seen
large coconuts! You will find a lot of them in Silhouette Island.
It is home to the Hilton Seychelles Labriz
Resort & Spa, a five-star resort, as well as incense trees but
also has other hotels that are very affordable. You will be amazed at how much
service you get for a very low price. They have relaxation centres with tales
of Seychelles heritage. They also have saunas and spas. Families can go for bike
riding or stroll along the lush gardens. you could actually camp in the gardens
in the night rather than sleeping in the hotel rooms. It is a very fun island
and also different from the “Populars”.
North
Island
This Island is one of the Inner Islands in Seychelles. Of all
the 3 unusual Islands mentioned, this is the one I love the most. North Island is
the best for Honeymooners, lovers and families. It has just four beaches only. It has honeymoon
cove and a dive beach. The island resort and hotels are beautiful. They have
these coves and camps built in between trees and gardens and is illuminated in
the evenings/nights. It just feel cosy, warm, stunning, peaceful, exhilarating,
chillaxing with loved ones with a view of nature around you. It feels haven! It
feels like paradise, it feels like dreamland! Its like bringing your
imagination to reality!

XOXO!!!
