Zimbabwe is a southern African country known
for its diverse wildlife. It is also home to the popular Zambezi river and
Victoria waterfalls. Zimbabwe is one of the most developed country in
Africa.their president is also the oldest president in Africa at 93 – Robert G.
Mugabe. If there is one country that is worth visiting in place of South Africa
its Zimbabwe. Its largest city is its capital Harare.
Tourism constitutes one of its major profititable avenues
and trust me there are lots of lovely places to visit in Zimbabwe.
The Victoria Waterfalls is a waterfall with a
height of about 108m. it is quite high. It is a beautiful amazing sight to
behold. On getting to Zimbabwe, the first tourist place on everyone lips is usually
the Victoria waterfall. You are on vacation in Zimbabwe and didn’t’ visit this
great place! Like what are you freaking doing in Zimbabwe!
Zambezi river is another great adventure. It is
a major river in Africa. We were thought about this river in primary school. We
sang it in class at all times and my oh my! it is worth visiting.
Most times when we travel, the capital city is
the first destination. Harare is the bomb! It is where live exists, its bubbly,
the commercial hub of Zimbabwe. Here you will get everything the big cities
offers and it is a very superb place for vacation but our adventure drew us
further and we found MUTARE!
Mutare is a beautiful city in Zimbabwe. It is
the fourth largest city in Zimbabwe. It is home to the Mutare museum, Utopia
House Museum, Mtarazi falls, National Gallery, Murahwa hill and the Africa
University.
It has beautiful streets, gardens and parks,
hotels, restaurant, vacation homes and local market. It is a small town but very
classy. It is one unique place to visit in Zimbabwe. You can travel by train from
Harare and other cities to Mutare. It is quite calmer and they have plenty
beautiful inns and hotels. Here you get to meet and interact with the local,
eat locally made food if preferred and enjoy nature. You could go shopping, stroll
with friends and take in the city. The food market is also quite amazing. It is
just the best place for a different kind of adventure in Zimbabwe.
Other places in Zimbabwe to
treat to yourself to includes:
Chinhoyi Caves/town
I kind of like weird, quirky, edgy and sort of scary stuffs. so I love
it here. It’s a cave yeah! A beautiful one at that. It has a lake about 50m
below ground level and its quite the adventure. The town is a small one that
just has very basic amenities that is used by the people of the community.
Zimbabwe is also known for diverse wildlife so here you find
different parks such as Hwange National Park, Matobo National Park, Matopos
Nationa Park, Mana Polo, Nyanga National Park where you find wildlife such as
elephants, lions, hyenas , giraffes, etc
National Herberium and Botanic Gardens, Harare
Chimanimani Mountains
And lots more…
Summer is here already. Why not make plans to
visit Zimbabwe and whilst at it think Mutare!
XOXO!!!
