Bangkok - Thailand

Am sure most of us know or have heard of Bangkok. It is an Asian capital majorly known for street food. Well if you care to know Bangkok is the capital of Thailand. Thailand is a South Asian Country that is amazingly beautiful. Bangkok its capital is the largest city in Thailand. It has high rise buildings, very beautiful beaches, busy streets, shopping centres, Grand Palace, plenty plenty Asian cuisine, street life and they also speak a bit of English! It is actually a very fun place to visit.

Thailand is one Asian Country on my top list for tourism asides Singapore. It is really not the name that comes to mind when you mention Asian vacation and trust me you are in for a shocker if you try this unusual adventure.

Bangkok is a beautiful city with lots of places to visit such as the Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Wat Phra Kaew, Khaoson road, Golden Buddha, Yaowarat Road just to mention a few. You also have the beaches, shopping malls, many local markets (for me a must go) where you can buy stuffs at cheap prices, restaurants with varieties of rice dishes – they actually are a major supplier of rice to most African countries and other countries in the world.

Then talk about the street life and street food. This is something you must experience. It is a crazy adventure that you will keep playing back in your head. Bangkok is very colourful. How about their resorts and hotels which are fabulous. it is a very lovely place for getaways and vacation either with the family, lovers, colleagues, friends and even an “only me adventure”

Bangkok is also a place for Fashion, Food, Art and Creativity, local jewelries, Lifestyle, Colour, People. I can go on and on about this beautiful city. It’s just a wonderful place with warm and friendly ambience for an unusual adventure.

Just check the pictures below for some of the fun places in Bangkok.

Grand Palace – the magnificent Royal palace

Wat Suthat – the most beautiful temple in Bangkok

Chatuchak Market – this is a very big market which has everything you want both in singles and wholesales at very affordable prices. It is one of the largest in the world. This is an awesome place for shopping. You can practically live in here for days without being bored. You can interact with the locals and get more info about Thailand. It has thousands of stalls which displays various items for sale.

You would get household items, furniture, home decors, light fittings, clothes, shoes, bags, food items, jewelries, bouquets, beads, make-up, fruits, candy, crafts, baby items, back to school, musical instruments, souvenirs, anything, everything you want!

Damnoen Saduak Floating Market - Imagine buying and selling on water using canoes. Quite the adventure!

Jim Thompson house – you might wonder what makes this house special! It was built by a self-made American entrepreneur who found himself in Thailand after getting lost in Malaysia during the WWII. He was a serviceman who became prominent in the Thai silk industry. He practically helped build the Thai Silk industry. He made so much contribution in Thailand such that he received several awards. His house was turned into museums for tourists and it tells the story of his life.

Lumphini Park – lush green surrounding for relaxation

Street life! Street food – this is the no. 1 stop for tourism and adventure in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the symbol of Bangkok! STREET-FOOD! I read somewhere that the government is planning on stopping these. If that is true you might have very limited time for this amazing experience. The street food makes available orisirisi (various kind of) food. I love spring rolls and samosa and here you will get the best of them including other finger foods and Thai cuisines.

Bangkok adventure is really nonstop. Aside the above, we still have the beaches and resorts. Hmmmmm! The beach resorts looks like paradise. It’s like your dream playing itself live! Its just an amazing sight to behold.

How about the shopping malls, the streets, Fashion houses and the list goes on….

So the next time you plan an Asian trip visit Bangkok.

XOXO!!!
